Starting the Week Off Right!
Getting the kids going in the morning can be difficult. But the key is organization and schedules. Children love to know what to expect. They like to plan out their day. Even though you are actually doing the planning! It's a good idea to give them the feeling of "driving the day" and you can do this by letting them know what is next ahead of time. When they are prepared, it calms everyone. The children actually tend to mentally and maybe even physically prepare themselves for the day and they may do a better job of managing their behavior in response to the schedule. A board like the one featured below is an example of how to set the tone for your day!
